First Legal Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a First Legal Attorney to oversee the initiation and management of legal actions, primarily focusing on foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections matters. The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor degree, membership in the New Jersey Bar, and a keen eye for detail.

Job Duties:

• Complete a comprehensive review of all conditions precedent to the filing of the action, including a review of loan documents, financials, and demand letters.
• Draft and review pleadings and correspondence to initiate actions.
• Ensure all internal systems are updated to include findings, documentation, and recommendations.
• Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements, as applicable.
• Exercise a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Analyze corrective action opportunities and present recommendations.
• Maintain meticulous analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Work independently to manage caseload effectively.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree.
• Bar membership in New Jersey.
• Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively through both verbal and written electronic correspondence.

Preferred:

• Basic principles of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control.
