Associate Attorney needed for New York City office

A law firm in New York City is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their team. The position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience under the guidance of experienced attorneys while handling a variety of legal matters.

Duties:

• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel on behalf of clients.
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings as necessary.
• Assist with trial preparation and strategy.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar (active and in good standing).
• 1-3 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
