A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking an Estate and Tax Planning Attorney with 5-7 years of experience in estate planning, probate and trust administration, and asset protection planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong tax background and specific experience in drafting estate plans, preparing IRS form 706s, forming family limited partnerships, and drafting intrafamily promissory notes.

 

Duties:

  • Draft comprehensive estate plans for clients with taxable estates, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and file IRS Form 706s for estate tax purposes, adhering to strict deadlines and requirements.
  • Form family limited partnerships and draft intrafamily promissory notes to facilitate wealth transfer and asset protection strategies.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on complex estate planning matters to clients.
  • Assist with trust administration, probate proceedings, and asset protection planning as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations affecting estate planning.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
  • 5-7 years of experience in estate planning, probate and trust administration, and asset protection planning.
  • Strong tax background preferred.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
