Associate Attorney needed for Hartford office

A law firm in Hartford, CT, is seeking an Associate Attorney to handle insurance defense, workers' compensation, and plaintiff work. Civil litigation experience is a plus. The successful candidate will contribute to various legal matters under the firm's practice areas.

Job Duties:

• Handle insurance defense, workers' compensation, and plaintiff work.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and depositions.
• Assist with case investigations and discovery processes.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Prepare for and participate in trials and arbitration proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff on case management.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in Connecticut or eligibility for admission by reciprocity.
• Experience or interest in insurance defense, workers' compensation, and civil litigation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Commitment to providing high-quality legal services to clients.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in Connecticut or eligibility for admission by reciprocity.

Skills:

• Experience in insurance defense, workers' compensation, or civil litigation (preferred).
