Pre-Suit Attorney Personal Injury

A law firm is seeking a Pre-Suit Attorney Personal Injury for its Jacksonville location. The Pre-Suit Attorney Personal Injury will play a crucial role in the firm's personal injury practice, responsible for managing and negotiating cases with insurance providers, overseeing a dedicated legal assistant, and maintaining regular client communication. They will gather evidence, negotiate settlement offers, prepare demand letters, and manage client medical care. The successful candidate must possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and empathy for clients' needs.

Duties:

• Gather necessary documents, evidence, and information related to claims
• Negotiate settlement offers and prepare demand letters
• Manage and negotiate cases with insurance providers
• Effectively manage a full caseload
• Oversee and manage a dedicated full-time legal assistant
• Maintain regular client communication
• Open new files and make initial client contact, continuing contact regularly
• Fully investigate each case, gathering and analyzing intake information and relevant documents
• Verify insurance coverage and liability issues, maintaining contact with insurance companies
• Manage clients' medical care, keeping constant communication with clients and medical providers
• Schedule and calendar medical appointments, explaining procedures and documentation to clients
• Continuously monitor case status and review medical records
• Organize and maintain case files, preparing files for submission to demand writers
• Maintain active membership in the Florida Bar Association in good standing
• Organize and manage time effectively, handling multiple tasks
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Interact empathetically with clients during their time of need
• Demonstrate determination and drive to achieve the best results for clients and win cases
• Apply solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience managing a heavy personal injury caseload
• Active membership in the Florida Bar Association in good standing

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the Florida Bar Association (active and in good standing)
