A law firm located in Jacksonville is seeking a Pre-Suit Attorney Personal Injury. The Pre-Suit Attorney Personal Injury will be responsible for managing a full caseload of personal injury cases, from initial client contact to negotiating settlements. They will collaborate with the legal team, oversee a full-time legal assistant, and maintain regular client communication. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to achieving favorable outcomes for clients.

 

Duties:

  • Gather necessary documents, evidence, and information for claims
  • Assist in preparing demand letters and negotiating settlements
  • Manage and negotiate cases with insurance providers
  • Effectively handle a full caseload
  • Supervise and manage a dedicated full-time legal assistant
  • Prioritize regular client communication
  • Open new files and maintain ongoing client contact
  • Thoroughly investigate each case, analyzing intake information and relevant documents
  • Enter pertinent information into the database
  • Verify insurance coverage and liability issues, maintaining contact with insurance companies
  • Manage clients' medical care, maintaining communication with clients and medical providers
  • Schedule and calendar medical appointments, explaining procedures and documentation to clients
  • Continuously monitor case status and review medical records
  • Organize and maintain case files, preparing files for submission to demand writers
  • Maintain active membership in the Florida Bar Association

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience managing a heavy personal injury caseload
  • Active membership in the Florida Bar Association in good standing

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Florida Bar Association (active and in good standing)

 

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to interact empathetically with clients
  • Determination and drive to achieve optimal results for clients
  • Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
