A law firm based in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Remote Discovery Attorney to join its legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests. This position requires proficiency in legal research, drafting, and strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Duties:

• Respond to discovery requests, such as interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission, ensuring timely and thorough compliance.

• Draft and review discovery-related legal documents and correspondence.

• Conduct legal research to support discovery responses and case preparation.

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members regarding discovery matters.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all discovery activities.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop effective discovery strategies.

• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and regulations.

• Provide exceptional client service through clear and prompt communication regarding discovery issues.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Active California Bar license.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience responding to discovery in civil litigation.

• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage a remote caseload.

• Proficiency with legal research tools and document management systems.

• Reliable internet connection and the ability to maintain confidentiality in a remote work environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active California Bar license (Required).
