Mid-Level Class Action Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City is seeking a Mid-Level Class Action Associate Attorney to join their team. The firm is looking for a candidate with 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background from nationally recognized schools, superior writing, research, and analytical skills, and the ability to navigate and take ownership of a multi-matter docket.

Duties:

• Handle class action defense, complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation matters
• Effectively communicate with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties, both verbally and in writing
• Produce high-quality deliverables and respond to correspondence promptly
• Meet deadlines and perform work duties as required
• Foster positive work relationships within the firm
• Comply with all firm policies and practices
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities as needed
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of litigation experience
• Strong academic background from nationally recognized schools
• Previous federal clerkship is a plus
• Experience with class action defense preferred
• Superior writing skills

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of New York
