A law firm in Fort Washington, PA, is seeking a Senior Bankruptcy Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and analytical skills, able to work independently, and effectively manage routine bankruptcy matters. They will be responsible for reviewing bankruptcy pleadings, managing bankruptcy cases, attending hearings, and maintaining regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and Trustees.

 

Duties:

  • Review bankruptcy pleadings and claims to be filed in the particular jurisdiction.
  • Manage routine bankruptcy matters efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor electronic bankruptcy filings (ECFs) for relevant updates and actions.
  • Attend regular bankruptcy hearings and represent clients in court proceedings.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and Trustees regarding case developments.
  • Utilize intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills for case management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior attorneys or firm management.

 

Requirements:

  • Law degree (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
  • Minimum of 2 years of bankruptcy experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in computer and office software.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
