A law firm is seeking an Attorney for their Real Estate Finance practice in Houston, TX.

Job Overview:

The Attorney will handle real estate finance transactions, including loan origination, asset management, and workout experience. They must demonstrate high academic achievement, solid large law firm experience, and exceptional writing and communication skills.

Duties:

  • Manage real estate finance transactions from inception through closing and post-closing.
  • Handle loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
  • Execute asset management and workout experience.
  • Perform secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.

Requirements:

  • JD degree required.
  • 5+ years of broad real estate finance experience in a large law firm setting.
  • Proficiency in handling loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions.
  • Experience with asset management and workout situations.
  • Familiarity with secondary market repurchase facility work and exit strategies.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
