A law firm in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking a Mid-Level Government Contracts Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate should have at least 3+ years of government contracts experience and be adept at counseling clients on government contracts laws and regulations, reviewing and negotiating subcontracts and teaming agreements, and litigating bid protests at the Government Accountability Office and/or Court of Federal Claims.

Job Overview: The Mid-Level Government Contracts Associate Attorney will provide legal counsel and representation to clients in matters related to government contracts, including contract negotiation, compliance, and dispute resolution.

Duties:

  • Counsel clients on government contracts, laws, and regulations.
  • Review and negotiate subcontracts and teaming agreements.
  • Litigate bid protests at the Government Accountability Office and/or Court of Federal Claims.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on issues with government contracts.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and government agencies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of government contracts experience.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar in Tennessee or eligibility for admission by waiver.
  • Strong understanding of government contracts, laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of academic achievement.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar in Tennessee or eligibility for admission by waiver.
