Job Overview:

This role is ideal for attorneys passionate about emerging technology law, data privacy, and defending high-stakes cases, including those arising under the Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA). Duties:

  • Represent clients in BIPA class actions and other complex privacy-related litigation

  • Advise businesses on biometric data compliance obligations and tech-focused privacy strategies

  • Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery responses in class action and statutory privacy matters

  • Conduct legal research on evolving biometric privacy laws and their application to technology providers and employers

  • Manage case strategy in conjunction with senior attorneys from inception to resolution

  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and settlement negotiations as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with at least some exposure to privacy, technology, or class action matters

  • Demonstrated interest in BIPA and technology-related legal frameworks

  • Strong understanding of complex litigation procedures, particularly in the context of class actions

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent legal writing and analytical skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Illinois Bar in good standing

Skills:
