The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive estate planning services to clients, including the drafting of wills, trusts, and ancillary documents. Job Details:

  • Conduct initial consultations with clients to understand their objectives.
  • Identify appropriate strategies and make recommendations for fulfilling client objectives, including advising on trust types.
  • Draft estate planning documents, such as wills and various trusts.
  • Explain complex legal concepts and provisions of the estate plan to clients.
  • Self-start, meet deadlines, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Regularly consult with clients, accountants, financial advisors, and other relevant parties.
  • Cultivate relationships with existing and potential clients through consistent and timely communication.
  • Report on caseload at weekly case review meetings.
  • Develop a client following to contribute to firm revenue.

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed with the California State Bar.
  • 3 years of estate planning experience, handling matters from inception to conclusion.
  • Working knowledge of finance, investments, and taxes.
  • Effective, clear, concise, and accurate communication, both oral and written.
  • Ability to focus under pressure and willingness to take necessary actions.
  • High degree of discretion, confidentiality, and integrity in handling client information.
  • Strong computer skills with extensive experience in MS Office Suite, timekeeping, and case management software.
  • Experience with Wealth Counsel drafting is desired.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed with the California State Bar.
