A law firm is seeking a Worker's Compensation Attorney with the following qualifications:

Job Overview:

The Workers' Compensation Attorney will manage client cases from initial contact to resolution while ensuring effective communication with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Duties:

  • Open new files and make initial client contact, maintaining regular communication throughout the case
  • Fully investigate each case, gathering and analyzing intake information and relevant documents
  • Verify insurance coverage and liability issues, maintaining contact with insurance companies
  • Manage client's medical care, scheduling appointments, and explaining procedures and documentation
  • Continuously monitor case status, reviewing medical records and organizing case files
  • Prepare files for submission to demand writers
  • Handle phone communication for extended periods
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Worker's Compensation experience
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Excellent customer service, time management, and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with clients, associates, and vendors
  • Capacity to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Consistent record of attendance, reliability, and integrity
  • Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology is a plus
  • Spanish-speaking proficiency is a plus

Education and Certifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • JD from an accredited university
  • Florida Bar Admission
