Job Title: Of Counsel

Job Overview: A law firm in Nashville, TN, is seeking an Of Counsel with substantial experience in commercial real estate law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate, including development, investment, financing, leasing, and lender representation. The role involves collaborating with colleagues across the firm's national real estate platform and requires a demonstrated ability to independently handle complex real estate matters.

Duties:

  • Handle various commercial real estate matters, including but not limited to title and survey due diligence, purchase and sale agreement negotiation, real estate corporate governance, joint venture preparation and negotiation, and real estate finance and lender representation.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, providing strategic advice and guidance on real estate transactions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in other offices to leverage expertise and resources across the firm's national real estate platform.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and commercial real estate market trends.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of meaningful experience practicing commercial real estate law, preferably in a mid-size or large law firm setting.
  • Admitted to the Tennessee Bar.
  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial real estate, including development, investment, financing, leasing, and lender representation.
  • Ability to handle complex real estate transactions independently.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Portable business is preferred but not required.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Tennessee Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
