A law firm in Stamford, CT is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of commercial litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in complex commercial litigation, familiarity with Connecticut state and federal courts, and strong technical, professional, and client service skills. Experience in handling discovery, depositions, pleadings, motions, and trial preparation is required, with prior judicial clerkship experience considered a plus. Dual admission in New York courts and experience with government and internal investigations are also beneficial.

 

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of complex commercial litigation cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Manage discovery process, including document review and production.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Draft and argue pleadings and motions.
  • Assist with trial preparation and participate in trial proceedings.
  • Collaborate with legal team members and clients.
  • Provide effective and efficient problem-solving solutions.
  • Maintain excellent technical, professional, and client service standards.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of commercial litigation experience.
  • Admission to the Connecticut Bar in good standing (dual admission in New York is a plus).
  • Familiarity with Connecticut state and federal courts.
  • Strong technical, professional, and client service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Team-oriented with emphasis on collaboration.
  • Experience with government and internal investigations (preferred).
  • Prior judicial clerkship experience (preferred).

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Connecticut Bar (dual admission in New York is a plus).
