A law firm is seeking a Senior Private Equity Mergers And Acquisitions Associate Attorney to join their team in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting healthcare clients with their transactional needs, specializing in the acquisitions of physician and dental practices, and representing behavioral health providers. The candidate should have 6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions transactions, particularly with private equity funds and/or healthcare providers. Additional experience or interest in behavioral health is considered a plus.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis related to healthcare transactions, focusing on acquisitions of physician and dental practices.
• Provide legal counsel and support to private equity funds and healthcare providers in mergers and acquisitions transactions.
• Represent behavioral health providers in various legal matters.
• Draft and review transactional documents, including contracts, agreements, and legal memoranda.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to ensure successful completion of transactions.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting healthcare and private equity transactions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions transactions.
• Experience working with private equity funds and/or healthcare providers.
• Additional experience or a demonstrated interest in behavioral health is a plus.
• High level of academic achievement from a reputable law school.
• Previous law firm experience is required.
• Exceptional writing, drafting, and communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
