A law firm in Cincinnati is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transactional Associate Attorney to join its Construction group. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in negotiating and drafting design and construction agreements, with a focus on real estate development, large industrial capital projects, and/or construction claims resolution. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the firm's clients in the construction industry and contributing to the growth and success of the Construction group.

 

Duties:

  • Negotiate and draft design and construction agreements for clients in the real estate development and construction industry.
  • Provide legal counsel and support on large industrial capital projects.
  • Assist in the resolution of construction claims and disputes.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to construction law issues.
  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and legal developments.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of relevant experience in negotiating and drafting design and construction agreements.
  • Strong academic credentials, with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in Ohio or eligibility for admission.

 

Skills:

  • Familiarity with industry-standard construction and design forms.
  • Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Real estate development and construction claims resolution experience is a plus.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to handle a high-volume workload.
  • Exceptional writing and research skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong client and peer relationships.
