A law firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney for their Washington, DC office.

Job Overview:

The Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in intellectual property disputes, including litigation, trade secret matters, and other soft IP issues. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication and analytical skills, along with the ability to conduct thorough research and produce persuasive written arguments.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in intellectual property litigation cases, including but not limited to patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and case arguments.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and clients to develop case strategies and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in intellectual property litigation.
  • Experience in soft IP matters such as trade secrets is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer science preferred.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois, California, New York, or District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing.
