A law firm in Encinitas is seeking a Consumer Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney with 4+ years of litigation and/or regulatory enforcement experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a keen interest in consumer financial services litigation and enforcement matters, possess excellent legal writing and research skills, and exhibit strong communication and advocacy abilities.

 

Job Duties:

  • Represent clients in consumer financial services litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues related to consumer financial services regulations and laws.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients regarding litigation risks and potential outcomes.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on case strategy and client matters.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as necessary.
  • Manage and organize case files and documents effectively.

 

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of litigation and/or regulatory enforcement experience.
  • Bar membership in good standing.
  • Hands-on experience in litigation or regulatory enforcement.
  • Demonstrated interest in consumer financial services litigation and enforcement matters.
  • Familiarity with consumer class actions or enforcement proceedings by regulatory bodies such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, or state regulators.
  • Excellent legal writing and research skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and advocacy skills.
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar.
