Environmental Associate Attorney

A law firm in Parsippany, NJ, is seeking an Environmental Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in environmental transactions and regulatory compliance issues related to real estate development and business transactions.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and counsel on environmental transactions and regulatory compliance issues.
• Conduct environmental due diligence for real estate development and business transactions.
• Handle regulatory compliance and enforcement matters.
• Ensure compliance with ISRA (Industrial Site Recovery Act) regulations.
• Navigate water and wetlands regulations.
• Manage site remediation and brownfield redevelopment projects.
• Obtain environmental permits as required.
• Engage with environmental regulatory bodies, including the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the US Army Corps of Engineers.
• Perform technical and legal research.
• Deliver high-quality professional and client service.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of environmental law experience.
• Demonstrated experience in environmental transaction and regulatory compliance issues.
• Familiarity with environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance, ISRA compliance, water and wetlands regulations, site remediation, brownfield redevelopment, and environmental permitting.
• Excellent technical, legal research, and client service skills.
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar in good standing.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
