Plaintiff Trial Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Irving, TX, is seeking a highly experienced Plaintiff Trial Attorney to represent clients in personal injury cases. The ideal candidate must possess extensive trial and deposition experience, particularly with corporate defendants, liability and damage experts, and medical experts.

Duties:

• Represent plaintiffs in personal injury cases from inception to trial.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Prepare clients for deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies.
• Advocate for clients in court hearings, motions, and trials.
• Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and support staff to ensure effective case management.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the State Bar of Texas and in good standing.
• Litigation experience with a focus on plaintiff personal injury cases.
• Demonstrated success as first chair trial attorney in personal injury trials.
• Extensive deposition experience involving corporate defendants, liability and damage experts, and medical experts.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure, evidence, and tort law.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of Texas and in good standing.
