Job Overview:
A reputable immigration law firm based in New York, NY is seeking a full-time Licensed Attorney with at least three years of experience in U.S. business immigration law. This role involves managing a diverse caseload of employment-based and family-based immigration matters, as well as contributing to immigration litigation and court filings. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and highly knowledgeable about a wide range of visa classifications and immigration processes.

Location:

  • New York City, NY

Duties:

  • Independently manage a high-volume caseload of business immigration cases, including L-1, O-1, H-1B, E-2, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, and NIW petitions

  • Conduct legal research related to both affirmative filings and court-based immigration matters (e.g., asylum, SIJS, guardianships)

  • Draft and review petitions, support letters, affidavits, motions, and legal correspondence with precision

  • Prepare for client meetings, hearings, and interviews, including the creation of briefing materials

  • Communicate with clients to gather documentation, provide status updates, and ensure procedural compliance

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date case files using legal case management software

  • Stay informed of changes in immigration law and procedural guidance

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in U.S. business immigration law

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex immigration matters independently

  • Experience with both employment-based and court-based immigration processes

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving deadlines

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) preferred

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

  • Paralegal certification is a plus if not licensed

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines

  • Experience using legal management and digital case tracking systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Fluency in Albanian and/or Italian is a plus
