A law firm in New York City is seeking an Immigration Attorney to handle a diverse range of family and business-based immigration matters. The successful candidate will possess a J.D. degree and must be licensed to practice law in the United States.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in immigration proceedings, including visa applications, petitions, and hearings.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on immigration matters, including compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and file various immigration petitions and applications, such as Es, Ls, EB-1a, EB-1c, PERMs, EB-2 NIWs, O-1s, and H-1Bs.
  • Conduct legal research to stay updated on immigration laws and policies.
  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and government agencies to facilitate smooth immigration processes.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the United States (any state).
  • Proven experience in immigration law, preferably handling both family and business-based immigration matters.
  • Strong understanding of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Must be an attorney licensed to practice law in the United States (any state).

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in handling a broad spectrum of immigration matters.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
