Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Patent Lawyer with at least 2 years of patent prosecution experience, particularly in areas such as 5G, Wi-Fi, AI, processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional academic credentials, strong analytical capabilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. An Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent is preferred. Additionally, candidates must be registered with or eligible to register for the United States Patent Trademark Office (USPTO), admitted to and in good standing with the Bar, or eligible to waive in.

Job Duties:

  • Handle patent prosecution matters related to 5G, Wi-Fi, AI, processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end technologies.
  • Conduct patentability searches and provide opinions on patent validity and infringement.
  • Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, patent examiners, and other stakeholders.
  • Conducted patent portfolio analyses and provided strategic counseling to clients.
  • Participate in patent litigation proceedings when necessary.
  • Stay updated with changes in patent law and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of patent prosecution experience.
  • Experience in patent prosecution related to 5G, Wi-Fi, AI, processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end technologies.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Registered with or eligible to register for the USPTO.
  • Admitted to and in good standing with the Bar, or eligible to waive in.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • Registration with the United States Patent Trademark Office (USPTO) or registration eligibility.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in patent prosecution procedures.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Knowledge of patent laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
