The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of estate planning experience, strong drafting skills, and a deep understanding of estate and gift tax laws.

Duties:

  • Work on foundational and advanced estate planning matters, including highly customized drafting of estate planning documents.
  • Meet with and advise clients on the design and structure of revocable living trusts and irrevocable gift trusts.
  • Research estate planning and tax issues to provide comprehensive legal advice.
  • Evaluate and update template documents, letters, and procedures related to estate planning matters.
  • Collaborate with clients, financial advisors, and other professionals to develop effective estate plans.
  • Handle advanced estate and income tax planning matters.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting estate planning.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing of the California Bar.
  • 2+ years of experience in estate planning.
  • Strong drafting skills with attention to detail.
  • Deep knowledge of estate and gift tax laws.
  • Preferably possess an LLM or strong background in tax law.
  • A broad understanding of corporate matters affecting closely held companies is helpful.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Member in good standing of the California Bar.
