A top-tier law firm is seeking a junior Corporate Associate for its Boston office. Duties

• Advise startups and emerging growth companies on formation, governance, and operational matters

• Represent clients in seed, venture capital, and private equity financings

• Assist with mergers and acquisitions, including structuring and due diligence

• Provide investor-side representation in growth equity rounds

• Counsel entrepreneurs and executives on legal strategy and compliance

• Interface directly with CEOs, Boards of Directors, and venture fund partners

• Draft and negotiate transaction documents and corporate agreements

Requirements

• 3-4 years of relevant corporate experience (JD class years 2021–2022)

• Experience with start-ups, VC financings, growth equity, or M&A required

• Must have prior experience at a large law firm

• Comfortable working in a client-facing environment with daily interaction with executives and investors

• Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team structure

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills

• Strong interest in the start-up and venture capital ecosystem

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
