Job Overview:
A growing law firm located in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area is seeking an Associate Attorney to support its expanding debt workout litigation practice. This position offers a unique blend of litigation and transactional responsibilities, including trial work, motion practice, mediation, and restructuring defaulted credit facilities. The firm welcomes applications from attorneys licensed in any U.S. jurisdiction, including recent law school graduates eager to gain experience and grow within a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.

Location:

  • Atlanta, GA

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues

  • Draft legal pleadings, motions, and memoranda

  • Review and interpret banking documents and credit agreements

  • Represent clients at motion hearings and trials

  • Negotiate debt settlements and loan restructurings

  • Advise clients on litigation strategy and regulatory compliance risks

  • Analyze title records to assess lien priority and property equity

  • Manage individual caseload and coordinate litigation schedules

Requirements:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities

  • Excellent verbal communication and client-facing skills

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

  • Critical thinking and sound judgment in legal decision-making

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction (Georgia Bar not required)

  • Good standing with respective state bar

Skills:

  • Litigation and motion practice

  • Contract and financial document analysis

  • Negotiation and mediation in legal and financial contexts

  • Property and title law knowledge (preferred)
