Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Supervising Attorney to manage its South Carolina Division, based in Atlanta, GA. The role involves overseeing attorneys and staff, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines, and managing the department's financial performance. Duties

  • Attend mediations, trials, and hearings.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with various departments for operational and legal compliance.
  • Manage attorneys and paralegals.
  • Develop departmental policies and goals.
  • Travel as needed for business purposes.
  • Engage in writing and presentations for clients and associations.
  • Participate in marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice in South Carolina; additional licenses in AL, GA, and TN preferred.
  • Minimum of eight years of litigation and default management experience.
  • Member of the state Bar with maintained licensing and education requirements.
  • Experience in employee management and P&L responsibility.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
