A law firm in Huntington is currently seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2 to 4 years of experience in commercial litigation, product liability, and/or other complex litigation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in deposition preparation, defense, and motion drafting, with a focus on appellate, class actions, privacy, and data breach litigation.

 

Duties:

  • Prepare for, take, and defend depositions, showcasing a high level of proficiency.
  • Draft dispositive, expert, and/or discovery motions with precision and clarity.
  • Exhibit first-rate communication skills, both written and oral, for effective advocacy.
  • Handle appellate, class actions, privacy, and data breach litigation matters.
  • Possess excellent academic credentials to support legal expertise.
  • Preference for West Virginia Bar admission.

 

Requirements:

  • 2 to 4 years of meaningful experience in commercial litigation, product liability, and/or other complex litigation.
  • West Virginia Bar admission is strongly preferred.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the West Virginia Bar (strongly preferred).

 

Skills:

  • Proficient in deposition preparation, taking, and defense.
  • Experience in drafting dispositive, expert, and/or discovery motions.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Familiarity with appellate, class actions, privacy, and data breach litigation.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
