Job Title: Environmental Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm based in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable associate attorney to support its environmental law team. This position is tailored for a legal professional with a foundation in environmental regulation, transactional matters, and/or related disputes. The role offers the opportunity to work on multifaceted legal issues while collaborating with seasoned professionals dedicated to high standards of legal practice and professional growth.

Duties:

  • Handle matters involving environmental regulatory compliance, permitting, enforcement, and administrative proceedings

  • Support transactional due diligence and risk assessment for environmental issues in mergers, acquisitions, and development projects

  • Assist in managing environmental litigation, including discovery, motions practice, and trial preparation

  • Draft legal opinions, regulatory interpretations, and memoranda on environmental laws and policies

  • Interact with federal and state environmental agencies on client matters

  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives related to training and legal innovation in environmental practice

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of experience practicing environmental law, including regulatory, transactional, and/or litigation work

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legal issues and communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats

  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills

  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Texas Bar preferred or willingness to seek admission)

Skills:

  • Advanced legal research and analytical skills

  • Exceptional legal writing proficiency

  • Proficiency with legal databases and document management tools

  • Ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines
