Junior Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a Junior Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney with 1-6 years of experience. The firm offers benefits, including a 401(k) retirement plan, contributions to health and dental plans, subsidized gym membership, and disability coverage.

Duties:

• Assist senior attorneys in providing legal counsel and representation to clients in insurance coverage matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on insurance policies, coverage disputes, and regulatory compliance.
• Draft and review legal documents, including coverage opinions, memoranda, pleadings, and correspondence.
• Participate in negotiations and settlements with insurance companies and opposing parties.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders involved in insurance matters.
• Assist in case management and strategy development.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.
• 1-6 years of experience practicing law, focusing on insurance coverage preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance law, regulations, and industry practices.
