Patent Agent needed for King of Prussia

A law firm located in King of Prussia is seeking a Patent Agent to draft patent applications and prosecute patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and patent offices worldwide. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in the Biotech or Chemistry field and preferably have experience in patent drafting and prosecution.

Duties:

• Drafting patent applications.
• Prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO and international patent offices.
• Conducting patent searches and analyzing prior art.
• Collaborating with inventors, attorneys, and clients to understand inventions and draft patent applications accordingly.
• Assisting in patent portfolio management and strategy development.

Requirements:

• Registration to practice before the USPTO or willingness to sit for the registration exam.
• Ph.D. in the Biotech or Chemistry field.
• Preferably some experience in patent drafting and prosecution.

Education and Certifications:

• Ph.D. in Biotech or Chemistry.
• Registration to practice before the USPTO (or willingness to obtain).

Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge in Biotech or Chemistry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
