The ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years of in-house or law firm patent prosecution experience, hold a relevant degree, and be admitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The Patent Agent will play a crucial role in managing patent-related matters, requiring keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic legal team.

Duties:

  • Conducting patent prosecution activities, including drafting and filing patent applications, responding to office actions, and communicating with the USPTO.
  • Collaborating with attorneys to provide technical expertise in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
  • Conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.
  • Managing and maintaining patent dockets, deadlines, and related administrative tasks.
  • Keeping abreast of changes in patent laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of in-house or law firm patent prosecution experience.
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering (B.S.), Chemistry (Ph.D.), and/or Organic Chemistry (Ph.D.).
  • Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Excellent academic credentials.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (B.S.).
  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or Organic Chemistry.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
