A law firm is seeking a Plaintiff Trial Attorney for their Houston, TX, office.

Job Overview:

The Plaintiff Trial Attorney will represent clients in personal injury cases, manage all aspects of litigation from inception through trial, and advocate for clients' rights and interests in court.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Manage discovery, including conducting and defending depositions.
  • Develop case strategy and prepare for trial.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing parties and insurance companies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar in good standing.
  • Litigation experience with significant first chair plaintiff personal injury trial experience.
  • Extensive deposition experience, including corporate defendants, liability and damage experts, and medical experts.
  • Proven track record of successful case outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
