Mid/Senior-Level Securities Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a skilled Mid/Senior-Level Securities Litigation Associate Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation, particularly securities litigation. The ideal candidate will draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, conduct discovery, and assist with witness preparation and examination. Duties:

• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs related to securities litigation cases
• Conduct discovery, including drafting and document review/analysis (including ESI)
• Assist with witness preparation and examination
• Stay updated with civil rules of procedure and rules of evidence

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on securities litigation
• Familiarity with civil rules of procedure and rules of evidence
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Record of strong academic performance
• Licensed to practice law

Preferred Qualifications:

• Federal court experience
• "Second-chair" experience at hearings/trials

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC
