Finance Corporate Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Finance Corporate Associate Attorney for their Minneapolis, MN office.

Job Overview:

The Finance Corporate Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal counsel in corporate finance matters, including commercial finance transactions, loan originations, and real estate financings. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, superior academic credentials, and the ability to manage multiple assignments independently.

Duties:

• Draft loan, security, inter-creditor, and related documents.
• Advise on covenant compliance issues.
• Lead due diligence teams.
• Manage specialists involved in finance transactions.
• Draft various legal documents as needed.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of experience in corporate finance.
• Experience working with financial institutions and borrowers in commercial finance transactions.
• real estate financing would be preferred.
• Familiarity with loan originations and real estate financings.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Minnesota State Bar (or willingness to become admitted).
