A law firm in Pittsburgh is seeking an Attorney to join their team, offering the opportunity to engage in a statewide workers’ compensation practice representing Fortune 500 companies, large national insurance carriers, and third-party administrators. The successful candidate should possess exceptional research, writing, analytical, and communication skills, with a focus on Pennsylvania workers’ compensation law.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in workers’ compensation matters throughout Pennsylvania.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and administrative agencies.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on workers’ compensation issues.
  • Assist with case management and strategy development.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar, in good standing.
  • 1-3 years of experience practicing Pennsylvania workers’ compensation law.
  • Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess legal issues and develop effective strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications (if applicable):

Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
