Job Overview

A prestigious law firm in San Jose, CA, is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Of Counsel to join its dynamic legal team. This role involves handling complex employment litigation cases, advising clients on labor law matters, and mentoring junior legal staff. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in employment law and a strong ability to manage litigation independently.

Duties

• Litigate and defend a wide range of employment-related claims, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour disputes, and non-compete agreements.

• Represent employers in court, arbitration, administrative proceedings, and mediation.

• Provide strategic counsel to employers on labor and employment laws, including compliance and risk management.

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda.

• Manage class action and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) cases when necessary.

• Oversee and mentor associates and paralegals, ensuring high-quality legal work.

Requirements

• Minimum 9 years of employment litigation experience with first-chair responsibility.

• Strong litigation management skills, including case strategy development and client representation.

• Extensive knowledge of federal and California employment laws and administrative procedures.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• Active California Bar admission in good standing.
