A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney for their Washington, DC office.

 

Job Overview:

  • Represent clients in intellectual property litigation, focusing on patent and/or trade secret matters.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on ongoing intellectual property matters.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support cases.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to handling client matters.

 

Duties:

  • Handle a diverse range of intellectual property cases, including patent and trade secret litigation.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
  • Draft various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Assist in developing and executing case strategies in collaboration with team members.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be admitted to a State Bar.
  • Possess 3-5 years of experience in intellectual property matters, specifically in patent and/or trade secret litigation.
  • Strong academic background in law and undergraduate studies.
  • Preferably hold an undergraduate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Materials Science, Genetics, Biochemistry, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, leadership skills, and willingness to assume greater responsibility.
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Sound understanding of legal and business concepts relevant to intellectual property litigation.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to a State Bar.

  • Proficiency in conducting legal research and analysis.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Proactive approach to handling client matters.
  • Ability to manage increased levels of responsibility.
