The role involves defending and litigating a wide range of employment-related claims, representing employers in various legal proceedings, providing counsel on labor and employment laws, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will hold a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, possess excellent academic credentials, and have 2+ years of litigation experience with a strong background in employment law.

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits related to employment claims and agency charges of discrimination.
  • Act as legal counsel, representing employers in court, before administrative agencies, in mediations, and during arbitration.
  • Handle employment matters, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment tort cases, and non-compete disputes.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to employers regarding labor and employment laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • 2+ years of legal experience with a strong emphasis on employment law.
  • Consideration of judicial clerkship experience as part of the litigation experience.
  • Active Connecticut Bar admission or ability to quickly obtain admission.
  • Proficiency in current court and employment-related agency procedures.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Connecticut Bar License or eligibility for admission.
