Junior or Mid-level/Senior Executive Compensation and Benefits Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Junior or Mid-level/Senior Executive Compensation and Benefits Associate Attorney for their Los Angeles location. The ideal candidate will have experience working with public and private employers, including start-up companies, on all aspects of the executive compensation and benefits practice. This includes but is not limited to mergers and acquisitions (including Section 280G analysis), financings, initial public offerings, executive terminations and hires, stock compensation plans and award agreements, nonqualified deferred compensation (Section 409A), general ERISA and group benefit plans, and public company reporting and disclosure obligations.

Job Overview:

• Work on all aspects of executive compensation and benefits practice
• Emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, financings, and public company reporting

• Conduct research, prepare legal documents, and contribute to writing

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and assist in the preparation of legal documents
• Interact directly with firm clients on sophisticated transactions
• Mentor and share experience with junior associates
• Participate in all aspects of executive compensation and benefits practice

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and JD, or foreign equivalent. LLM accepted in lieu of JD.
• Bar admission required
• Excellent academic performance
• Outstanding analytical, research, and writing skills
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of ethics and conduct codes for the practice of law

• Bachelor's degree
