A prestigious law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level Project Finance Associate to join its Project & Energy group. The role focuses on energy transition financing, providing an exciting opportunity to work on globally recognized projects, including innovative financing deals in the energy transition space. Duties

  • Manage complex transactions in the areas of financing and M&A related to energy transition projects and companies.
  • Handle tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents for project finance.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on financing matters in the energy sector.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to execute high-value deals.
  • Lead and support energy transition and infrastructure financing projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in energy transition finance matters.
  • Proven experience handling financing and M&A transactions, including tax equity and renewable energy tax credit matters.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and client management skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where the position is located.
