Duties:

  • Conduct patent prosecution, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications
  • Manage patent portfolios and provide strategic advice regarding portfolio development and management
  • Perform patent analysis/opinions of counsel and participate in inter partes reviews (IPRs) as needed
  • Collaborate with clients, attorneys, and staff to develop effective patent strategies
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Optics, Physics, or Biomedical (with an electrical or software focus)
  • 2+ years of prosecution experience at a firm or in-house
  • Experience with portfolio management
  • Preference for candidates with experience in optics, acoustics, video and audio signal processing and codecs, virtual/augmented reality, and microscopy systems and imaging techniques
  • Experience in software and AI is a plus
  • Graduate-level experience or advanced technical degree is a plus
  • Admission to the USPTO is a plus
