Mid-level IP Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
An established national law firm is actively seeking a mid-level Associate to join its Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group. This role offers the opportunity to engage in complex IP litigation matters on behalf of sophisticated clients across multiple jurisdictions. Location:

• Raleigh, NC

Duties:

• Represent clients in all phases of intellectual property litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and appeal

• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

• Conduct legal research and complex analysis of IP issues

• Manage discovery processes, including taking and defending depositions

• Participate in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings

• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices on litigation strategy

• Assist in developing and expanding the firm’s IP litigation practice

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in intellectual property litigation

• Federal Circuit litigation experience preferred

• Strong understanding of patent and IP law

• Ability to manage and digest complex technical content

• Team-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Demonstrated academic excellence

• Law school and undergraduate (and graduate, if applicable) transcripts required

Certifications:

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction where the candidate intends to practice

Skills:

• Exceptional legal writing and research abilities

• Strong oral advocacy and communication skills

• Analytical and strategic thinking

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
