A law firm in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Patent Agent (Immunology/Virology) with a Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology and 3+ years of experience prosecuting patents in the immunology and molecular biology therapeutic space. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials and be admitted to practice before the USPTO.

 

Duties:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications in immunology and virology fields, including immunotherapy, gene therapy, and cell therapy
  • Respond to office actions and communicate with patent examiners
  • Assist in the preparation of legal opinions and patentability assessments
  • Conduct prior art searches and analyze patent landscapes
  • Collaborate with inventors and attorneys to develop patent strategies
  • Assist in the preparation and prosecution of patent appeals, interferences, and reexaminations
  • Stay updated on developments in immunology, virology, and patent law
  • Provide technical and legal support to clients on patent-related matters

 

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology
  • 3+ years of experience prosecuting patents in the immunology and molecular biology therapeutic space
  • Admission to practice before the USPTO
