Job Overview:

The Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling workers' compensation cases, representing clients in legal proceedings, and providing legal advice and guidance to clients.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare clients for hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and judges.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing workers' compensation law.
• Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
• Juris Doctorate or better from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar.
