General Liability Associate Attorney

The law firm is seeking a highly motivated and skilled General Liability Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team in St. Louis, MO. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting file reviews, legal analyses, extensive research, and providing representation in various legal proceedings. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical, research, and communication skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Job Details:

• Conduct file reviews and perform legal analyses of claims and causes of action.
• Engage in extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions on a regular basis.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests to support legal proceedings.
• Collaborate on expert witness retention and coordination.
• Prepare for trials and attend as required, ensuring comprehensive trial readiness.
• Some travel may be necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in general liability; experience in other practice areas is advantageous.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid research abilities and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to self-manage and work effectively in a team environment.
• Prompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiries.
• Excellent client skills and a professional telephone manner.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admission to practice law in the state of Missouri.
