A law firm in Irvine, CA is seeking a Civil Insurance Defense Litigation Associate Attorney with 4+ years of litigation experience. The role requires excellent writing and advocacy skills. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery; conducting and defending depositions; making court appearances; legal research; client meetings; and managing deadlines to exceed quarterly hourly billing minimums.

Duties:

• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, both percipient and expert.
• Make appearances in court for hearings, conferences, and trials.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
• Draft simple and complex correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Meet with clients to discuss case developments and strategies.
• Manage deadlines and exceed quarterly hourly billing minimums.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of litigation experience.
• Excellent writing and advocacy skills.

Education & Certifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Skills:

• Strong writing skills to draft effective legal documents.
