Junior/Mid-level Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a junior/mid-level litigation attorney to join its team in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in motor vehicle and premises liability, with ride-share litigation experience being a plus. The attorney will be responsible for managing various cases, drafting legal documents, conducting depositions, providing strategic legal analysis, and appearing in court as required.

Job Duties:

• Handle a diverse range of litigation matters
• Manage assigned cases from inception to resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Take and defend depositions
• Conduct thorough legal research
• Provide strategic legal analysis and advice to clients
• Represent clients in court proceedings as necessary
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases
• Maintain organized case files and documentation
• Assist with trial preparation and strategy

Requirements:

• 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in motor vehicle and premises liability; ride-share litigation experience a plus
• Experience drafting pleadings and dispositive motions
• Proficiency in answering written discovery
• Ability to take and defend depositions
• Strong oral advocacy skills for handling oral arguments
• Excellent academic credentials
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York State Bar
